Biography:
Vincent Cervoni focuses his practice in the areas of criminal defense, a variety of civil litigation, municipal law and copyright law. He has successfully tried jury and court matters, and has represented individuals before the Workers’ Compensation Commission. Mr. Cervoni has served as Assistant Town Attorney for the Town of East Haven since 2003.
Mr. Cervoni received his bachelor’s degree in English from Fairfield University in 1990, and his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 1993. While still in law school, Mr. Cervoni performed a clinical internship with the State’s Attorney’s Office in Middletown, Connecticut. In 1994, Mr. Cervoni began his employment as an associate with the firm of Gesmonde, Pietrosimone and Sgrignari, LLC.
Mr. Cervoni was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1994, and to the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut in 1995. He is a member of the New Haven County Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, and the Connecticut Trial Lawyer’s Association. In 2004 – 2005, Mr. Cervoni served as Assistant Secretary-Treasurer of the CBA and in 2003-2004, served as Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association, Young Lawyers Section, having previously served as Treasurer and Secretary.
Mr. Cervoni sits as an alternate on the Town of Wallingford Zoning Board of Appeals. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters, having previously served as President of the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Meriden and Wallingford. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Blues Society.
